The first phase included construction of two wings are connected by bridge links and a Winter Garden providing a heart to the building, promoting employee collaboration and spontaneous synergies with movement through the spaces. The splayed wings of the building provide an outlook framing the views over the extensively landscaped site. Long-term flexibility is a key design objective with the potential for open office space to be converted to specialist laboratories in the future. Feilden+Mawson have delivered the 3 storey, 19,500m2 project from RIBA Stage 3 along with subsequent works to the catering facilities and fit out of the winter garden.
