Feilden+Mawson was appointed by the Royal West Nofolk Golf Club to improve and modernise their existing clubhouse whilst retaining close links to the history and character of the club, including demolition, extension and refurbishment to create a clubhouse which meets the needs of the existing membership now and in the future.
Retaining the distinct Brancaster character, new extensions retain the flavour of the original building, including decorative arches and the same local Norfolk Carr-Stone, giving unity and solidarity. The existing flood defences are improved without visually compromising the setting of the clubhouse and many features are included to enhance flood resilience for the next century. The project was completed in November 2023.
