Feilden+Mawson was appointed to develop proposals to design 63 dwellings, with associated parking, access and public open space in conjunction with a Racehorse Training Establishment with associated accommodation, namely: a 20-box stable building, barn, yard area with muck pit, exercise ring with horse walker and lunge pits, paddock and trainer’s house.
The proposal responds to key site constraints including mature vegetative margins and overlooking potential in the context of an adjacent river with associated flood plain. The layout and design create a strong sense of community and place, respecting neighbouring properties and their amenity whilst also exploiting the site’s topography to create a truly unique and outstanding development to the benefit of the village.
