Feilden+Mawson secured the prestigious architectural commission to assist Royal Norwich Golf Club their move to Weston Park, Norwich a similar approach underway at the Basingstoke and Dummer Golf Clubs.
The RNGC brief included:
- Improved site access;
- 18 hole championship course;
- 9 hole course;
- USGA specification greens;
- 10 bay covered driving range;
- Partial demolition and extension of the existing clubhouse;
- New Greenkeeping facilities;
- Starter’s pavilion.
The golf course designs were carried out by European Golf Design and all buildings were designed by Feilden+Mawson. The main aim of the project was to create a facility reflecting the changes in golf and to play a role in broadening the appeal of the game for future generations to come
