Designed by Feilden+Mawson, the King's Lynn Innovation Centre or 'KLIC' is the first commercial building to be built in the Nar Ouse Regeneration Area (NORA), specifically for start-up businesses. The Client, Nwes and the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, anticipate that it will be a catalyst for economic growth and will set a high design benchmark for future adjacent projects.

The brief specifically asked that the building achieve a high visual impact when viewed from the A47 to the south and act as a new gateway into King's Lynn. In response, the meeting and conference spaces were stacked into a 4 storey element with the 4 storey atrium space (containing reception and break-out spaces) separating it from the 2 storey office space to the north. Additionally, the building is clad in a combination of glazed curtain walling, Marley Eternit, Rockpanel Chameleon, cedar soffits and Lignacite Linear bricks, creating a chameleon like effect to the exterior of the building.
