Feilden+Mawson have been working with Norfolk County Council and Group Lotus on a combined masterplan for 70,000m2 of research and developments space between the existing Engineering Centre and the Lotus production facility to create a combined Technology Park. The intention for the development is to create a realm for innovation and research within a tech-campus style environment.
The buildings proposed within the masterplan consisted of both workshops (of a range of types, including high spec R&D space), offices and mix of the two. Warehousing and storage will be limited. The masterplan represents an inward investment opportunity – both from elsewhere within the UK and internationally. As a high quality, sector focussed location, we expect Department for International Trade (DIT) to promote it widely as part of the UK offer. We will also link up with other initiatives such as the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor on which Hethel Technology Park sits.
