The University of Buckingham commissioned Feilden+Mawson to design their new £6m Academic Centre that is located on a prominent site at Milton Keynes University Hospital. Its 2000m2 accommodates seminar rooms, simulated wards and operating theatre and is supported by a 150-seat lecture theatre and associated other spaces.

The University has an established and renowned medical school with a reputation for teaching excellence. Its undergraduate students spend much of their time at the Milton Keynes University Hospital gaining valuable experience and knowledge. The Centre provides the University and Hospital with flexible facilities to suit both of their teaching needs. This in turn strengthens the students’ learning experience and the ties between both the University of Buckingham and Milton Keynes University Hospital.
