Feilden+Mawson have refurbished this Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse, as well as the associated property No37 Bryanston Mews West. Both properties are located within the Portman Estate Conservation Area in London Marylebone, City of Westminster.
The property had previously been vacant for almost a decade before the project brought it back into use through the creation of 4 high-end residential units. This included extensive structural repairs, complete replacement of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, alterations to internal layouts and circulation, renovation of historic finishes, new bespoke joinery, and bespoke plasterwork.
The historic Georgian fabric was enhanced by the insertion of contemporary bathrooms, kitchens and lighting. Externally the hierarchy and proportions of all elevation was brought back into order, in keeping with the general character and harmony of the area. We also took the opportunity to introduce garden areas and terraces to many of the units. After almost a decade of the property being vacant, Feilden+Mawson were delighted to bring it back to life.
