The project lies within the Portman Estate conservation area and has been refurbished to provide approximately 11,600 sq ft of high spec office. The building presents modern, open-plan office floors designed to the latest standards. The project involved more than trebling the size of the previous reception and establishing open-plan office space throughout where much of the accommodation was previously cellular.
Feilden+Mawson worked in collaboration with the renowned artists Timorous Beasties, creating a highly bespoke interior for the reception area. This ties a link back to the history of the site itself and creates a legacy for the Portman Estate, who occupied the property for over 60 years prior to its current refurbishment. By using the abstract motif of the plain tree in the bespoke artwork for the reception area, a connection is created between the refurbished building and the historic Portman Square nearby.
