Feilden+Mawson won this publicly procured project to help their client design a fully flexible and adaptable building on the Norwich Research Park, world renowned for its services to Biosciences. The Research and Development Centre or NRPZ4, was conceived to support and continue the ethos of the park’s scientific ethos.
The NRPZ4 building started life at the briefing stage as R+D on the ground floor for a known and thriving Bioscience company with adaptable space on the first floor. The facility is based on a simple rectangle with Feilden+Mawson tried and tested length versus width proportions, plus sustainably structural and planning grids developed by partner Philip Bodie.
