Old Sarum Airfield Planning Application
In exciting news, our planning application for Old Sarum Airfield has been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
The plans will create a sustainable long-term plan to safeguard the heritage and flying activities at the airfield. The Grade II* Listed Hangar will be refurbished and a new dynamic 21st century flying hub is proposed to create an exciting destination.
315 high quality dwellings are proposed on the edge of the of the airfield to support the redevelopment. Area A is inspired by the aviation buildings and will include apartment buildings overlooking the airfield and will be ideal for plane enthusiasts. The masterplan will restore the alignment of the Roman Road in Area A and has been designed sympathetically in the context of Old Sarum Schedule Monument.
The holistic masterplan has been developed creating significant areas of open space, walking/cycling routes to provide connectivity to all areas of the airfield and the surrounding community. The landscape masterplan will create a significant net biodiversity gain and meets the requirements of Nutrient Neutrality.
We look forward to watching the exciting project progress.
